Overview of IT Services
Information Technology (IT) provides a number of computing facilities and services to Belmont Abbey College students, staff, and faculty. To highlight just a few of those services:
- Powercampus, the administrative database used to keep track of BAC's business functions
- Powercampus web interface (IQ Web)
- Raiser's Edge institutional development system
- Blackbaud accounting system
- PowerFAIDS student aid system
- EDE student aid system
- Fin2Bus system to move information from financial aid to the student billing system
- Telemarketing database and support systems
- Telephone system for all students, administrators, faculty and staff
- Student access to nearly 75 computers in five computer labs
- Faculty and Student access to 11 multimedia classrooms
- Maintenance and upkeep of nearly 350 workstations on campus
- Administrative E-Mail System
- Student E-mail System
- Internet Security controlled by two firewalls
- Antivirus protection of all networked systems on campus
The following services are not handled by IT:
- Student Internet access in the dorms
- College web site
